The State Border Guard Service registered attempts by Russian saboteurs to infiltrate in the southern Sumy region and approach Kharkiv.
According to spokesperson Andriy Demchenko, the activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups continues specifically in the Sumy direction.
'And if earlier we mostly recorded attempts by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to infiltrate in the northern Sumy region, closer to Chernihiv, in recent weeks there have also been attempts by sabotage groups to infiltrate in the south, approaching Kharkiv,' the spokesperson reported.
Demchenko clarified that the enemy saboteurs can be either few in number or numerous.
'One of the recent groups that was detected within the Sumy region consisted of approximately 15 saboteurs who were tasked with attacking the positions of Ukrainian military forces,' the spokesperson stated.
