The complaint of a client about the work of PrivatBank caused outrage on social networks. A woman who has been using the bank's services for decades suddenly found her credit limit restricted without warning.
According to inkorr.com: The client mentioned that her available credit funds decreased from over 6 thousand hryvnias to 393 hryvnias overnight, and she did not receive any warnings from the bank.
Explanation from PrivatBank
After contacting the hotline 3700, the operator explained that the restriction was imposed due to the client reaching the age of 70, and according to the bank's standards, after this age, limits can be reduced to zero.
Client's Reaction
The woman considers such bank policy discriminatory and offensive. She also emphasized that she did not receive any warnings about the changes that negatively affected her plans to use credit funds. The client highlighted her impeccable credit history and timely debt repayments.
'It is very unpleasant that I was erased from life,' she concluded.
The press service of PrivatBank has not yet provided an official comment regarding the credit restrictions for elderly clients. It is also worth noting that starting from 2026, the bank will require payment for the popular service.
