PrivatBank Pilots 'e-Check': Digital Receipts Now Available in Privat24 App.
Pilot Project for 'e-Check' Launches
According to Novyny.live: PrivatBank has initiated a pilot program called 'e-Check,' enabling its customers to receive digital fiscal receipts directly within the 'Privat24' application. This innovation offers significant convenience for shoppers, who no longer need to worry about losing paper receipts, as all transaction records will be securely stored in electronic format. As bank representatives highlighted,
“Losing a receipt will now be impossible: simply get digital receipts for purchases at leading retail chains right in 'Privat24.'”
Project Implementation and Benefits
The 'e-Check' pilot is being rolled out in partnership with major retail chains, including well-known brands such as:
- Aurora
- Fora
- Auchan
- Ukrnafta gas stations
This allows customers to obtain digital fiscal receipts when shopping at these stores, marking a substantial move toward the digitization of financial services. This initiative aligns with a broader European trend of modernizing retail transactions and reducing administrative paperwork.
It is important to note that during the pilot phase, both paper and electronic receipts will remain valid, giving customers the freedom to choose their preferred format. The 'e-Check' project aims to streamline the receipt process and enhance the overall service level in the retail sector.
The introduction of digital receipts reflects current trends in financial technology, which are driving the growth of cashless payments and electronic services. This project could become a crucial step in improving customer service efficiency and reducing the use of paper documents, which in turn has a positive environmental impact. Successful implementation of the pilot may open new avenues for expanding digital services across Ukraine.
