Forecast for September 12: Ukrenergo and DTEK Made a Statement on the Energy Situation.
The National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" stated that there will be no measures to limit power supply on September 12, 2024. This information was announced by the company in its official statement on September 11.
Ukrenergo urges consumers to save electricity, especially during evening peak hours from 18:00 to 22:00. The company recommends avoiding the simultaneous use of several powerful electrical appliances during this period.
DTEK confirmed this information and announced that Thursday, September 12, will pass without any power outages. The company also committed to informing about any changes through its Telegram channel.
It is worth noting that electricity consumption in Ukraine continues to grow. As of 9:30 on September 11, the consumption level was 2.2% higher than at the same time on September 10. The maximum electricity consumption on the previous day was recorded in the evening at a level similar to September 9.
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system is still recovering after nine massive cyberattacks and there is a capacity deficit. Emergency and planned repairs at energy facilities are ongoing.
Regarding electricity imports, they will be carried out from Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova throughout the day with a total volume of 17,646 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,595 MW at certain hours. Electricity exports are not planned.
As of the morning of September 11, due to hostilities and other reasons, 530 settlements were completely or partially de-energized. New cases of power outages were also recorded in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions due to the armed conflict, in the Zaporizhzhia region due to bad weather, and in the Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions for technical reasons.
