A Ukrainian patriot, public figure, and fighter for justice - he has passed away, but his memory will live in our hearts. Come to bid him a final farewell.
Recently, Hanul was attacked in Odesa, but this was not his first encounter with violence. In May 2023, he was assaulted by three men posing as soldiers, which led Hanul to report the incident to the police and SBU.
The suspect in the activist's murder has already been detained by law enforcement. The authorities are considering various versions of the crime, including contract killing and a Russian connection.
The tragedy occurred on March 14 in the Primorsky district of Odesa. Preliminary reports indicate that prior to his death, the activist had appealed to the SBU for protection due to threats and the dissemination of personal information.
