Against all rules: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry changed their children's surnames

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to change their children's last names as part of a family rebranding. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor are now Archie and Lilibet Sussex. The traditional last name Mountbatten-Windsor, used by the monarchy since 1960, will no longer be used. Harry and Meghan have chosen their own last names for their children.

These changes also affect Harry and Meghan's website. It was previously called Archewell.com and has now been renamed Sussex.com. The updated site features photos of the couple at the Invictus Games with their royal coat of arms and the inscription "Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex".

It is also worth noting that the couple has distanced themselves from royal connections and any mention of the word "royal" has been removed from the site. Prince Harry stated that his decision to stand up to the British tabloids was the reason for the deterioration of relationships with the royal family. And Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has decided to no longer participate in scandals involving the feud between Harry and Meghan and the royal family.
