PUMB Warned Ukrainians About a Fraud Scheme Involving a Fake App: What You Need to Know.

PUMB Bank Warns About a New Fraud Scheme
PUMB Bank has reported a new fraud scheme that Ukrainians need to be particularly vigilant about. According to the bank's press service, fraudsters are constantly improving their methods and using digital banking services. This has become especially dangerous with the rise of mobile banking, as many users are now conducting transactions through their smartphones. PUMB Bank has noticed an increase in cases of telephone fraud, where scammers call clients, pretending to be bank employees, and try to convince them to replace the official banking app with malware.
'There are cases where fraudsters call our clients, pretending to be bank employees, and ask them to replace the PUMB app and provide personal information,' the bank's press service reported.
Therefore, PUMB Bank urges its clients to be cautious and remember:
- Employees will never ask to delete the PUMB app
- The app can only be downloaded or updated through the App Store / Google Play
- Always keep your login and password confidential
If a client receives a suspicious call, the bank recommends immediately ending the conversation and contacting PUMB's official support service to verify any information. Verified information about the bank's operations is published only on the official resources of the financial institution.
