Putin Rejects Peace with Ukraine: Russian Defense Ministry Unveils Plans Regarding NATO.
According to ТСН: Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow will continue to achieve its goals in Ukraine through military means, rejecting the possibility of compromises regarding the occupied territories and the presence of NATO troops.
Despite Putin calling suggestions of a possible attack on Europe a 'nonsense,' representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry revealed the Kremlin's true intentions.
Russia Will Continue Military Operations
In his speech, Putin reminded that if Kyiv and its international partners do not engage in negotiations, Russia will strive for the 'liberation of historical lands' only through military force. He also confirmed:
'The objectives of the special military operation (war against Ukraine) will undoubtedly be achieved.'
Moreover, he noted that the pace of the Russian military advance is increasing in all directions.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov hinted at the lack of peace in the near future, setting tasks for the army to maintain and increase the pace of advance until 2026.
Russia's Plans Regarding NATO
Putin again stated that Russia does not intend to fight NATO, but accused the West of expanding the Alliance after the collapse of the USSR. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that it would not accept any agreements that envisioned the presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov also stressed the key demands of the Kremlin, among which are maintaining control over occupied Crimea and parts of Ukrainian regions.
Europe Prepares for Possible Military Actions
The NATO Secretary General urged European countries to prepare for potential scales of conflict, emphasizing that Russia has brought war back to Europe. The Prime Minister of Finland also warned that after the war in Ukraine ends, Russia may intensify its military forces near NATO borders.
At the same time, Lithuania denied information about significant concentrations of Russian troops in Belarus, stating that they are concentrated in Ukraine.
Threat from Russia and Ukraine's Response
The President of Ukraine noted that Russia views the next year as a continuation of hostilities. He also stressed that the aggressive intentions of the Kremlin may threaten not only Ukraine but also all of Europe.
Zelensky called for decisive actions to stop Russian aggression, emphasizing three key components of defense: strengthening security, financial support, and readiness to counter Kremlin's manipulations.
Europe's Readiness for War with Russia
Experts emphasized that European countries are not ready for independent confrontation with Russia due to a lack of personnel and resources for military actions. According to specialists, Ukraine will fulfill the role of a 'security shield' for Europe.
Additionally, experts warn that Russia continues to accumulate drones for possible attacks on Europe, and EU countries may find themselves unprepared for defense against them.
The situation continues to be tense, as Russia's actions raise concerns among European countries. All these factors suggest that the conflict in Ukraine may have serious consequences not only for the region but also for global security.
