Putin is once again caught on canned footage: journalists exposed the missing New Year tree

According to ТСН: Journalists have uncovered new manipulations by the Kremlin. In one of the videos featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was noticed that the New Year tree is missing.

This is reported by the Belarusian Telegram channel NEXTA.

Traditional lies and manipulations of the Russian Federation

According to journalists, Russians continue to be shown pre-recorded video material presented as new. This is already the sixteenth recorded 'canned' footage this year.

“The tree was first shown on December 9 during Putin's meeting with the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov, then on December 11 during a meeting with the head of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin, and at a meeting regarding 'SVO'. The two-meter tree was located in the corner of the office, and even the furniture was rearranged because of it,” the message states.

However, after Putin's trip to Ashgabat on December 11–12, the tree unexpectedly disappeared. In the 'new' videos from December 15–16, it is not visible, although the arrangement of the furniture remained unchanged. Attempts by Russians to conceal this fact were unsuccessful.

Another point that exposed the Kremlin's lies was the placement of pens and pencils on Putin's desk. It completely matched the video from November 1. Thus, the 'fresh' meetings were likely recorded 1.5 months before their publication.

Previously, Putin had already been exposed for using 'canned' footage.

The mechanism is simple: officials arrive for recording in advance, and on the day of publication, they appear at other events in the same guise to create the impression of a 'live broadcast'. But it is impossible to maintain absolute identity.

These manipulations once again confirm that Putin's regime uses tricks to create the illusion of active engagement. In times when information is becoming increasingly vulnerable to falsifications, it is important to be critical of the perception of news from official sources. Incidents involving 'cans' continue to provoke outrage in society, as they demonstrate how easily political realities can be distorted through video and content manipulations.
