Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate at least 19 Russian generals: who made the list

According to ТСН: Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, at least 19 Russian generals have been killed. The deaths of these high-profile military personnel resulted from both pinpoint strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and diversionary actions.

Losses among the Russian leadership are recorded not only at the front but also on the territory of Russia. This is due to successful strikes on headquarters, complex diversions, and explosions.

The chronology of elimination: 2022

At the beginning of the great war, many Russian commanders died. The first general whose death was officially recognized in Moscow was Andriy Sukhovetsky, who was eliminated by a sniper in the Chernihiv region.

Throughout 2022, the following were added to the list of the dead:

  • Oleg Mityayev;
  • Volodymyr Frolov;
  • Andriy Simonov;
  • Kanamat Botashev (ace pilot, destroyed in the sky over Luhansk region);
  • Roman Kutuzov.

The mysterious 'resurrection' of Kolesnikov

There is an interesting story about Major General Andriy Kolesnikov. In 2022, reports of his death were made. However, in 2023, Russian propaganda tried to refute this information by showing his participation in filming in Syria, where he allegedly acted as the acting deputy commander of the Russian military group.

Occupants' losses in 2023

The trend of destroying the Russian elite continued in 2023. The following were added to the list of the dead:

  • Dmytro Ulyanov;
  • Serhiy Horyachev;
  • Oleg Tsokov (eliminated in Berdyansk as a result of a strike on a hotel);
  • Volodymyr Zavadskiy.

2024-2025 years

Among those killed in 2024-2025 were high-ranking officials responsible for strategic directions:

  • Igor Kirilov — head of the radiation, chemical, and biological protection troops of the Russian Federation;
  • Yaroslav Moskalyk — deputy head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff;
  • Mikhail Gudkov — deputy commander of the Navy of the Russian Federation;
  • Fanyl Sarvarov — head of the operational training department of the General Staff.

The publication notes that the Russian authorities continue to conceal the real figures of losses. Many killed generals were formally in retirement or led mercenaries in so-called volunteer formations, assault detachments “Storm Z”, and private military companies.

Military experts have repeatedly warned of the risk of expanding hostilities beyond the main fronts. Russia may attempt limited ground breakthroughs in the border regions of Ukraine to seize small territories for further political pressure.

The northern regions, particularly Sumy and Chernihiv, as well as the southern direction due to possible strikes on port infrastructure, which is critically important for the economy and defense capability of the country, remain under threat.

The situation at the front remains tense, and it is unclear how it will develop in the near future. However, the destruction of Russian generals indicates the effectiveness of the Ukrainian armed forces, their ability to inflict serious losses on the enemy, which may change the balance of power in the conflict.
