Putin claims readiness for negotiations: Kremlin's reaction to Trump's pressure.
According to inkorr.com: Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov shared his thoughts on peace negotiations with Ukraine. He noted that Putin is ready to seek a solution to the conflict through dialogue and hopes for further cooperation with the U.S. in this regard. Peskov also acknowledged that the issue of pressure on Russia was raised during President Trump's recent visit to London.
“Putin values positive relations with Trump and the opportunity to discuss the most pressing issues frankly. He remains open to reconciling the entire Ukrainian story through dialogue,” Peskov emphasized.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that organizing a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Russian leader turned out to be no simple task. Trump emphasized that he managed to stop seven wars, but finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict proved to be much more challenging than he anticipated.
In his statements, Putin continues to prefer diplomatic methods of resolving the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue and constructive relations between states.
These statements demonstrate the intentions of the Russian leadership towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict, although real progress remains in question. Similar comments from high-ranking officials may influence further negotiations and relationships between Ukraine, Russia, and international partners.
