Is Putin's Army Ready for a New War? Kadyrov Urges Russia to Strike NATO.
A Call for Military Action
According to Espreso.tv: Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has called on Russia to launch a military operation against NATO countries that are backing Ukraine. According to Kadyrov, his Chechen special forces are prepared to carry out any order from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The statement was published on his Telegram channel.
This appeal follows the NATO summit held on July 7–8 in Ankara, where allies reaffirmed their military support for Ukraine. As part of that commitment, NATO nations agreed to allocate:
- 70 billion euros in military aid for 2026;
- at least the same amount in 2027.
U.S. President Donald Trump also announced that Ukraine would receive technology to produce Patriot air defense systems.
Escalating Rhetoric
Kadyrov emphasized that
“Russia should no longer watch patiently,”urging decisive action. He stated that
“the time has come to open fire.”These remarks reflect a sharpening of rhetoric and an apparent Russian intent to ramp up military activity amid rising tensions with NATO. Speaking at the NATO Defense Industry Forum, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted the importance of allied support during this critical period.
Kadyrov's statement has drawn mixed reactions, but it underscores the growing strain between Russia and NATO against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
This latest call from Ramzan Kadyrov is part of a broader pattern of increasingly aggressive Russian rhetoric in response to NATO's backing of Ukraine. With hostilities continuing and Western allies providing growing military assistance to Kyiv, such statements may signal new phases of escalation. How the international community reacts—and what steps NATO takes next—could significantly shape the trajectory of the conflict in the region.
