Putin Named 'King': Myanmar to Receive Russian Nuclear Technologies.
Russia is Building a Nuclear Power Plant in Myanmar
Russia plans to build a small nuclear power plant in Myanmar that will provide the country with economically viable energy. President Vladimir Putin announced this after a meeting with Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing. According to Putin, this will be a significant step in the country's economic development.
During the meeting, Hlaing referred to Putin as 'king' and presented him with a book about the relationship between the king of Myanmar and the Russian tsar. This is already Hlaing's 11th visit to Russia, indicating good relations between the countries.
In addition to the construction of the power plant, Russia and Myanmar agreed on mutual recognition of education and academic degrees, as well as cooperation in the fields of space research and telecommunications. Both countries are working on joint projects in information technology, food industry, and mineral extraction.
