Strike of Russian troops on Ukraine

On the night of September 1st, Russian forces attacked the territory of Ukraine using 86 Shahed-type strike drones and other imitation UAVs. This was reported by the Command of the Air Force of Ukraine, according to FREEДOM.

Sources of drone launches

The drones were launched from the territories of Kursk, Millerovo, Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Gvardeyskoye (from Crimea).

Repelling the attack

The attack was successfully repelled by the air aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.

'According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense has destroyed or suppressed 76 enemy Shahed-type drones and imitation drones of various types in the north, south, east, and center of the country,' – reported the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Consequences of the attack

It was recorded that 10 strike drones hit six locations.
