NATO convenes a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will convene a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council on August 28 at Kyiv's request, said spokesperson for the Secretary General Farah Dakhlallah.
According to her, the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council on Wednesday will be held at the level of permanent representatives.
"It is expected that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, will inform Alliance members via video link about the situation on the battlefield and priority needs in forces and means," she added.
The spokesperson emphasized that the meeting will take place following a "wave of recent Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilian population and infrastructure."
Regarding support, the representative of the Secretary General noted that "NATO members have provided significant support to Ukrainian air defense and they are committed to further strengthening Ukraine's defense."
