Rada approved new ministers for veterans affairs, strategic industries, culture, and sports.
On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine changed the government leadership by appointing new ministers to key positions.
Natalya Kalmykova was approved as the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. She was previously the Deputy Minister of Defense for Social Development, so her experience will be useful for working with veterans.
Herman Smetanin, the former CEO of "Ukroboronprom", became the Minister for Strategic Industries. His experience in leading the defense conglomerate will be important for the development of strategic sectors of Ukrainian industry.
Mykola Tochitsky has been appointed as the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications. He previously served as the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, which will facilitate better coordination of cultural policy with the national strategy.
Matviy Bidniy, who was acting as the Minister of Youth and Sports, is now officially confirmed for this position. This appointment ensures continuity in the implementation of the country's youth and sports policy.
These changes followed important decisions regarding personnel changes in higher government bodies. Earlier, Oleksiy Kuleba was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Community and Territorial Development, and Olha Stefanishyna - Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice. Additionally, Svitlana Hrynchuk was appointed as the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
