The situation with electricity supply in Ukraine

According to ТСН: The issues with electricity supply in Ukraine remain on the agenda due to threats of new attacks from Russia on the energy infrastructure.

The head of the board of NPC Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaychenko, reported that Russian strikes on the energy system occur systematically, with an interval of about ten days.

“After each such attack, balancing the energy system becomes a serious challenge for specialists. Damage to infrastructure and loss of generating capacity force energy workers to resort to emergency measures to maintain the system's stability and avoid large-scale accidents,” he explained.

Energy workers continue to operate around the clock, but the further development of the situation depends on the intensity and consequences of new attacks on the country's energy system.

Earlier, it was reported that on New Year's night, Ukrainians might be left without electricity. However, this largely depends on weather conditions and Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure.

The situation with electricity supply remains tense. Energy workers are making every effort to ensure the stability of the energy system, but the challenges they face indicate the seriousness of the threats to Ukraine's energy security. Monitoring the situation and following recommendations from energy workers is important for all residents of the country during these difficult times.
