During the past day, Russian occupiers carried out attacks on several localities in the Kharkiv region, causing damage to both property and residents.

Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA, reported this on his Telegram channel on August 7.

Consequences of the Russian Attack on Kharkiv Region

Over the past day, Russian troops shelled 4 localities in the Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries to three civilians.

In the city of Kupiansk, two men aged 45 and 55 were injured; in the village of Borova, an 86-year-old woman was wounded. Two women aged 75 and 86, who were injured in Kupiansk on August 5, have also been hospitalized.

The enemy used various weaponry, including 8 power facilities, 3 Geran-2 UAVs, 1 Lancet UAV, and 3 FPV drones.

As a result of the attacks, numerous objects of civilian infrastructure were damaged and destroyed:

  • In the Izium district, a residential building and a car were damaged in the village of Borova;
  • In the Chuhuiv district, a recreation base building was damaged in the village of Khotimlia;
  • In the Bohodukhiv district, a private house and electrical networks were damaged in the village of Odnorobivka.

Situation in the Kharkiv Direction

Currently, active military operations are ongoing. Over the past day, there have been 147 combat engagements between enemy troops and Ukrainian defenders.

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, four enemy attacks were recorded in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, 9 attacks by the occupiers were recorded over the day, who conducted assaults in the areas of several localities. It is also worth mentioning that during the nighttime battles on August 7, powerful explosions were heard in some streets of Kharkiv, resulting in an air alarm being declared.
