A year without you: Nina Matvienko's daughter touched with a message to her late mother.
Singer Tonya Matvienko honored the memory of her late mother – the legendary artist Nina Matvienko. On the anniversary of her death, the daughter wrote a touching post in which she addressed her dear mother.
«It's been a year without you… My mental state and shock could only be compared to the feeling when I found out that the war had started. Emptied and wrung out like a rag. My life changed forever. I know what loss is and I know what it means to cherish. I couldn't visit the cemetery and didn't clean up your things at home. At first, I didn't want to appear anywhere because people remembered you, and for me, it was like ripping the band-aid off», – wrote Tonya Matvienko.
The singer recalled what happened in her family's life over the past year.
«We are all well. The president posthumously awarded you the «National Legend of Ukraine» medal, and Ninusiс sang with me on stage for the first Time. Ulyana started her project, happy with Yura. Arsen started home renovations, you would definitely have liked the bathroom. Miss you a lot. We love, respect and, of course, listen. P.S. Today we are all meeting at Aunt Valya's place. Also, I will hold a memorial concert, as you told me in my dream!» – concluded Tonya Matvienko.

In particular, they recalled that Nina Matvienko called the Russian-Ukrainian war fratricidal, did not perform in the ATO zone, and even cursed the defenders of Ukraine. Meanwhile, historian and journalist Eduard Andryushchenko published documents online which indicate that the KGB monitored Nina Matvienko due to her pro-Ukrainian stance.
