Fruit prices in Ukraine remain high due to complicated logistics and unfavorable weather. Journalists compared prices of apples, bananas, and grapes in different places.
At the "Pochatok" market, a kilogram of apples costs 30-35 hryvnias at retail, and wholesale from 10 hryvnias. On average, in supermarkets, the price of apples is lower - 27.44 hryvnias per kilogram.
The prices for grapes of different varieties in different places are similar. At the "Pochatok" market, they cost 100-170 hryvnias per kilogram, while in supermarkets the average price is 133.38 hryvnias per kilogram.
The biggest price difference is observed in bananas. At the "Pochatok" market, a kilogram costs 75-90 hryvnias, while in supermarkets the price is lower - from 59.90 hryvnias.
Thus, fruit prices in different places fluctuate, but generally remain quite high.
