According to UATV: The Russian military has ramped up its aerial operations in southern Ukraine, deploying tactical aircraft, drones, and missiles. Moscow's overarching strategic objective is the complete seizure of the Donetsk region. According to Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Russian strikes are targeting both military logistics and civilian infrastructure in frontline areas. The increased frequency of aerial attacks signals a notable uptick in enemy operations.

Pressure Mounts in Kostiantynivka and Emerging Challenges

The situation in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, remains critical, reflecting the growing pressure from Russian forces. Bratchuk noted that

“Russian activity is being recorded along the entire line of combat.”

It is also worth noting that Moscow had originally planned to occupy the entirety of Donbas by September 2023, but that timeline has since been pushed back to the end of the year. Intense fighting is particularly evident on the Huliaipole axis, underscoring the ferocity of current engagements.
