Attacks on Fuel Storage and Warehouses in Elektrostal

According to UATV: On July 18, 2023, Ukrainian drones struck a fuel depot in Noginsk and warehouses belonging to the Wildberries marketplace in Elektrostal. The targeted facility, the 'Noginskaya' oil depot located in the Moscow region, holds 24 tanks with a total capacity of 11,500 cubic meters. This site was a key target for Ukrainian forces, who are actively engaging Russia's military and economic infrastructure.

Additionally, the area engulfed by fire in Elektrostal exceeds 188,000 square meters. These strikes are part of a broader strategy by Ukraine's defense forces, which includes attacks on critical military and economic assets of the aggressor nation. Other targets in this campaign have included:

  • two tankers
  • a tugboat
  • the patrol vessel 'Svetlyak'
  • an oil terminal
  • the 'Slavneft-YANOS' oil refinery

Conflict Escalation and New Tactical Approaches

These events highlight the intensifying conflict and the increasing activity from both sides. Ukraine's defense forces continue to execute operations aimed at striking strategic targets that support the enemy's military efforts.

The strikes on the fuel depot and warehouses demonstrate the growing tensions in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, as well as new tactical approaches by Ukrainian forces seeking to damage not only military but also economic resources of the adversary.

These actions could impact Russia's fuel supply and logistics capabilities, potentially altering the course of hostilities in the region. Similar operations are likely to continue as both sides seek to strengthen their positions in the conflict.
