The Russian occupiers attacked a thermal generation facility in Kyiv region on the night of September 7 to 8. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, citing data from 'Hvylya', reported that rescuers and energy workers are already working at the scene to mitigate the consequences of the attack.This attack aims to create difficulties for the civilian population by causing blackouts and heating outages, as well as leading to the suspension of operations of hospitals, schools, and kindergartens. As a result of the shelling of the Tripolskaya thermal power plant in Kyiv region and Kyiv, disruptions in the energy system were observed, causing power supply interruptions. Part of the region will remain without gas for two days due to this attack, which also led to emergency works on the gas network in the Obukhiv district, resulting in gas supply being halted for 8,093 subscribers. The restoration of the full operation of the energy system is planned to be carried out step by step.Attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure continue as part of military actions, causing serious consequences for the population. Authorities urge residents to be cautious and monitor reports of utility outages, as this can affect their daily lives.
