This was stated today, August 21, by military analyst and member of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Musiyenko on the TV channel FREEДОМ.

According to him, it is not worth expecting a decrease in the intensity of hostilities and rocket-drone strikes from Russia.

'Even if we imagined that if Russia and Putin were ready for real negotiations, it does not mean that they would stop hostilities. On the contrary, symbolizing the negotiation process and Russia's willingness for negotiations will be an increase in shelling, although it may sound paradoxical, as Putin will rush. And during the negotiations, he will try to improve his position, that is, weaken us, demoralize, sow panic, and so on,' Musiyenko is convinced.

He noted that it is now necessary to keep an eye on what is happening on the global stage, but the situation at the front remains complicated. Ukrainian soldiers are repelling enemy attacks.

'No one gave Putin a gift at the meeting in Alaska for the Russians to make any strategic breakthrough leading to negative consequences for us. To date, attacks are being repelled,' said the analyst.
