According to TSN.ua: On February 26, 2023, Russian forces launched a widespread assault across Ukraine, striking Kharkiv and other cities. The attack, which began after 4 a.m., involved 17 drones and 2 missiles, including ballistic missiles that hit Kyiv and Kharkiv. This latest barrage injured 16 people, one of whom was a child. In Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a nine-story residential building was damaged.
Impact Across Multiple Regions
According to Governor Oleh Syniehubov, the Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv were hit. In the village of Rai-Olenivka, four people, including a child, were wounded. The strikes caused damage to multi-story and private residential buildings in several areas. One strike targeted Kharkiv's Central Park, and a ballistic missile struck Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. These attacks are part of a broader pattern of intensified violence against civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, which has drawn international condemnation.
