New Reconnaissance Drones: The 'Saturn' Series

According to Espreso.tv: Russia has introduced a new line of reconnaissance drones called 'Saturn,' alongside fresh reports on combat and shelling along the front lines. The state-owned concern 'Radio-Electronic Technologies' unveiled two unmanned aerial vehicles: the 'Saturn-30' and 'Saturn-10.' The Saturn-30 weighs 30 kg, can carry up to 7 kg of payload, reaches speeds of 180 km/h, and operates at altitudes up to 3 km for one hour. Meanwhile, the Saturn-10, weighing 10 kg, has a flight endurance of up to 30 minutes. These drones represent Moscow's ongoing efforts to enhance its battlefield surveillance capabilities.

Frontline Situation as of July 11

As of 4:00 PM on July 11, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 74 combat engagements since the start of the day. Shelling impacted border areas, including the following settlements:

  • Korenok
  • Neskuchne
  • Volfyne
  • Yastrubshchyna
  • Bachivsk
  • Potapivka
  • Tovstodubove
  • Hirky in Sumy Oblast
  • Hati in Chernihiv Oblast

Occupying forces also launched an airstrike on the city of Sumy.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat clash occurred. The enemy conducted 39 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions, including two from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, three assault actions by invaders were recorded, while in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attempts to advance.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to push forward five times. In the Sloviansk direction, 19 attacks by occupiers were recorded. On the Kramatorsk axis, enemy forces attacked Ukrainian positions seven times, and in the Kostiantynivka direction, invaders attempted to breach defenses eight times.

Additionally, in the Pokrovsk direction, 18 enemy attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops were recorded. Three assaults occurred in the Oleksandrivka direction. In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy attacked five times, indicating an escalation of combat activity across various frontline sectors.

The unveiling of the new 'Saturn' drones signals Russia's continued push to modernize its military technology, which could impact the dynamics on the battlefield.
