Russia has attacked a boarding school in Suja again during a rescue operation.
In Suja, Kursk region, where Russian aviation conducted air raids on the boarding school, a rescue operation took place. Press officer of the temporary military commandant's office in the territory of the Russian Federation, Oleksiy Dmytrashkovskyi, reported this in an interview with 'Kyiv24'.
The Russians not only bombed the school building but also launched FPV drones on fiber optics. This action by the Russians is cynical, as they directed the bomb specifically at people who had exited the building. Moreover, the FPV drones hindered rescuers from pulling victims out from under the rubble. Four people died, and another one is in critical condition.
The Russian troops attacked the boarding school in the city of Suja, which is located in the Kursk region. Under the rubble were 95 people, including local residents who were preparing for evacuation. According to a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian side knew about the presence of civilians in the building, including women and children.
The General Staff noted that this attack on the boarding school is yet another war crime of the Russian authorities against the civilian population. The Russian army terrorizes Ukrainian cities daily with missile and drone strikes, destroying residential buildings, schools, and hospitals. Now it is deliberately killing even its peaceful citizens.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed his concern about the Russian attack on the boarding school in the city of Suja, where dozens of local residents were present.
