Deadly Russian Airstrikes and Drone Attacks Hit Kharkiv Region: Casualties Reported.

Deadly Strike in Chuhuiv District

According to Novyny.live: On June 18, Russia launched a large-scale assault on Ukraine's Kharkiv region, employing both aerial bombs and unmanned aircraft. The attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among local civilians. In the village of Ukrainske, located in the Chuhuiv district, a Russian FPV drone struck residents, killing a 65-year-old woman on the spot and leaving a 66-year-old man with severe injuries who was subsequently hospitalized.

Additional shelling across other communities caused extensive damage, including:

• A private home burned down in Zavodske after a drone strike;
• An apartment building was completely destroyed in Novyi Burluk;
• At 9:45 AM, the Russian military dropped two aerial bombs near the settlements of Klynova and Novoselivka;
• A 72-year-old man was killed in Hrushivka after a guided bomb hit the area;
• An 18-year-old young man in Hlushkivka and a woman in the town of Shevchenkove both sustained injuries.

The attacks also impacted the Vovchansk community, where a 64-year-old man suffered serious physical trauma. In the Zolochiv community, Russian drones struck and damaged a school, private residences, and power lines. In the village of Pidserednie, an FPV drone hit an ambulance, underscoring the danger faced by medical workers trying to assist the wounded.

It is worth noting that rescue workers and an employee of the Department of Emergency Situations were killed in a strike on the night of June 15. Russian forces continue to target vehicles on the road between Izium and Oskol using Lancet kamikaze drones, endangering civilian lives and worsening the humanitarian situation in the region.

These recent events in the Kharkiv region highlight the growing threat to civilians in Ukraine from modern military technologies like drones. Such attacks not only cause death and injury to peaceful residents but also lead to significant infrastructure destruction, deepening the humanitarian crisis.
