Russia attacked Sumy with ballistic missiles: houses damaged and fires.
On the night of August 18, Russian forces launched an attack on Sumy region, using ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones.

As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a non-residential building in Sumy. The explosion damaged windows and balcony frames in two five-story residential buildings in the area.
Also, on the night of August 18, shelling occurred in Shostka. Two elder districts were affected as a result of the attack. A residential building burned down in this area, and several other buildings and structures were damaged.
Rescuers and emergency services are currently working on-site to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
The process of eliminating the consequences of Russia's attack is also ongoing in Kharkiv. Five people were killed due to shelling from ballistic missiles and drones, and work is continuing to clear the rubble.
