Zelensky on Russia's Air Terror: Over 170 Drones in a Week.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the start of recovery works in various regions of the country after the aggression of the Russian military and shared horrific facts of air terror that lasted throughout the last week.
According to Zelensky's statement, the Russian military launched over 170 drones onto the territory of Ukraine, most of which belonged to the 'Shahed' type. In total, during this period, more than 1000 strike drones, almost a thousand guided aviation bombs, and 36 missiles were used.
Recovery Works in the Regions
Works are ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. It is noted that effective protection requires a comprehensive approach, which includes air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, and interceptor drones.
'We are actively working on each component with partners to add protection to Ukraine. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly strengthen our sky defense, our resilience, and our diplomacy,' Zelensky concluded.
Russian Military Use of Adverse Weather Conditions
The Russian military actively uses unfavorable weather conditions, such as rain and fog, to carry out attacks along the front line. Analysts believe that this is an attempt to exploit the weakness of the Ukrainian defense, particularly the inability of Ukrainian drones to operate in such conditions. This was demonstrated during a recent mechanized assault near Novopavlivka.
The President of Ukraine emphasizes the growing aggression and the importance of cooperation with partners to ensure the security of the country and protect its citizens.
Such events demonstrate the criticality of partner support and the need to improve Ukraine's defense systems. In the face of daily attacks, it is important for the country to remain ready for any challenges, including Russia's use of natural conditions to destroy Ukrainian positions. For its part, Ukraine is adapting its strategy to enhance the effectiveness of its defense.
