Russia has blocked the Signal messenger used by the military.

Roskomnadzor has restricted access to the Signal messenger in Russia
Roskomnadzor reported that it restricted access to the Signal messenger in Russia because it violates Russian legislation on preventing the use of the messenger for terrorist and extremist purposes.
It is noteworthy that Russian users began to complain about service disruptions on August 9. Signal only opens with the help of a VPN or in bypass mode.
Signal is one of the safest messengers
Signal is considered one of the safest messengers because it uses end-to-end encryption for calls and the exchange of messages and files. This helps to protect them from interception by service providers and special services. The messenger also stores a minimum amount of user data compared to other services.
Russian authorities restricted access to YouTube
Russian authorities also restricted access to YouTube by reducing access speed to a level equivalent to a block. Most browsers cannot play high-quality videos in Russia, except for Safari in the mobile version.
A YouTube representative stated that everything is working fine on their side. Earlier, the head of the State Duma's Information Policy Committee, Alexander Khinshtein, warned about a possible 70% reduction in YouTube loading speeds in Russia.
