This warning is corroborated by the Latvian Constitution Protection Bureau's annual report, which indicates that Russia will attempt to influence Latvia's parliamentary elections scheduled for this autumn.

The report details that Moscow is actively seeking to destabilize Latvia's political situation, employing various methods of influence to achieve its goals. In response to these threats, Latvia plans to invest over 200 million euros in strengthening its air defense systems throughout 2023.
