Russians are actively preparing for assaults in southern Ukraine.

Russian military forces are actively preparing for an assault, checking the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They replenished ammunition and conducted reconnaissance, including engineering and aerial. This was reported by the spokesman of the Defense Forces of the South, Vladislav Voloshin.

According to Voloshin, some assault groups have already been relocated to forward positions, indicating the impending start of the assault.

«I do not mean a large-scale offensive, but assault actions on one of the sections of the line of contact», – he added.

The Russian enemy continues to shell not only the positions of the defense forces but also cities in southern Ukraine.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is advancing, with successes recorded near seven settlements.

Analysts from ISW report on the offensive actions of Russian occupiers in the Kupyansk, Svatove, Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Vuhledar directions in Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian troops have advanced to the north-western edge in the Kursk region on a «Ukrainian bridgehead».
