The 72nd Brigade is Ready for Russia's Winter Offensive in Kharkiv Region: How Tactics Will Change

According to inkorr.com: Units of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians in the Kharkiv region are prepared for possible actions by Russian troops. Battalion commander Andriy Nazarenko notes that the front line is well fortified from an engineering, explosive, and mining standpoint.

The brigade's fighters support Russian troops from a distance, actively engaging in reconnaissance and destroying identified targets. This complicates the enemy's ability to form forces for assaults. Even during attempts at diversions or movements across water obstacles and forested areas, the enemy is eliminated before they can land.

'We last directly repelled lightly armored and armored vehicles, probably back in March-April in the Pokrovsky direction. Since then, there have been some motorcycle movements. In this section, armored vehicles have only been seen working from concealed positions,' explained commander Nazarenko.

Change in Enemy Tactics Due to Weather Conditions

With the onset of cold weather, it is expected that Russian troops will change their tactics. The brigade commander believes that the enemy will switch to tracked vehicles due to difficult conditions. This will require adaptation from the Ukrainian defenders, but the brigade is already ready for these challenges.

The preparedness and activity of the Ukrainian military are crucial for responding to potential changes in the enemy's tactics related to the upcoming cold weather. Defensive positions have been reinforced, and the military is ready for any challenges.
