Russians entered the center of Chasiv Yar – BILD.

Russian forces penetrated the central part of the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk after six months of fighting.

According to BILD analyst Julian Röpke, Chasiv Yar is located on a height and is protected on the eastern side by the Siversky Donets - Donbass water canal, which for a long Time restrained the advance of Russian forces.

However, according to published videos of street fighting, Russian units have almost reached the 'Avangard' stadium located in the center of the city, breaching this natural barrier.

Röpke stated that Russian troops were first spotted in the center of Chasiv Yar, and there are no Ukrainian soldiers ready for battle around.

We see complete ruins and the use of drones by Ukrainians to attack the Russians. This always indicates that the Russians already control this territory, while the Ukrainians attack them with drones from about 100 meters to the west,' said the BILD expert.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) from the USA, Russian occupiers continue their advance near Kupiansk (Kharkiv region), Chasiv Yar, Kurakhove, and Vuhledar (Donetsk region).

Previously, the occupiers spread information about the complete capture of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk (Donetsk region) by the Russian army, but this information is not true.

The British Ministry of Defense reports that the occupiers have approached the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk, likely crossing the canal from the southern part.
