Russia claims control over the Serebryansk forestry: what is really happening.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that their forces have successfully taken control of the Serebryansk forestry in Luhansk region. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine disagree with this information. The spokesperson for the operational-strategic group of forces 'Dnipro', Lieutenant Colonel Oleksiy Belsky, stated that the situation in this direction is complex, but the Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions. This was reported by 'Glavkom' based on information from the BBC.
The situation at the front
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian forces have held the defense in the Serebryansk forest for almost three years. But at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, Russian troops managed to break through the front between Lyman and Siversk, pushing Ukrainian defenders out of part of the forest.
Offensive on Yampil
After this, the aggressors launched an offensive on the village of Yampil, which is of strategic importance as it provides access to Lyman and Sloviansk. An important route for the logistics of Ukrainian units passes through this village.
Current situation
The conflict in Eastern Ukraine continues, and both sides are still fighting for control over territories. Russian troops claim their successes, while Ukrainian defenders remain determined. The situation remains tense, and both sides are prepared for further confrontation.
These events highlight the complexity of the military situation in the region. Ukrainian forces are actively resisting the offensive, maintaining control over key positions despite pressure from the enemy. The war continues, and the Ukrainian military constantly faces challenges, but defense remains their goal under these conditions.
