Russians changed tactics: fewer assaults, more airstrikes on cities.
Russian troops in Donbas have changed their tactics and instead of assaults have started using tactical aviation. According to the spokesman of the Joint Forces Operation 'Luhansk' Dmytro Zaporizhets, the enemy is actively using aviation to destroy buildings in small settlements and has transitioned to using motorcycles and buggies for assault operations.
'The main task of such personnel is to quickly reach defense positions or to penetrate small settlements and hold them until the next wave,' Zaporizhets explained.
Ukrainian fighters are responding to new threats with fiber-optic drones. For example, in the direction of Yablunivka, they managed to repel an attack thanks to FPV drones and artillery. The reaction of the Ukrainian military to the new tactics of the Russian troops indicates constant changes in combat actions in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military is using drones and artillery to influence enemy artillery, even when masked. The new challenges from Russia require a swift response and the improvement of defensive strategies from Ukrainian forces.
