Russians changed tactics in the Kupiansk direction: crawling at night in thermal cloaks.
According to inkorr.com: Today, new combat methods of the Russian occupiers have been observed on the Kupiansk front. Instead of the fast attacks they used earlier, they now prefer slow movement at night. Officer of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade Valeriy Kyseliov explained:
“They don't sleep, they work. What has changed is the slow movement in thermal cloaks, so thermal imaging can't see them. They crawl at night, concentrate, and try to attack.”
The main goal of the Russian troops remains unchanged – to destroy Ukrainian positions and reach the Oskil River opposite Kupiansk. It is now easier for them to operate in open terrain as they have adapted to Ukrainian drones and are seeking to avoid detection.
It is assumed that the new tactic has led to an increase in enemy casualties during attacks. However, despite the improved methods, the Russian occupiers have not been able to achieve success in the Kupiansk direction.
Summary
The Russian troops have changed their tactics in the Kupiansk direction, choosing slow movement during night attacks. This indicates their adaptation to Ukrainian drones, but the overall picture of failure remains unchanged. The enemies are unable to achieve their objectives in this direction, despite attempts to improve their strategy.
