Attacks Target Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Mykolaiv Regions
According to UATV: Russian strikes on the Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Mykolaiv regions have resulted in civilian deaths, injuries, and significant damage to homes and infrastructure. The number of casualties in Zaporizhzhia rose to seven on February 18, including two children. A drone attack there killed one person, while over a hundred residents reported damage to their homes.
- In Zaporizhzhia, two residential buildings were damaged.
- In Chernihiv region, a local resident was wounded and hospitalized following a drone attack.
- In the Koriukivka district of Chernihiv region, a drone struck transport infrastructure.
- In Semenivka, the residential sector was also damaged by a drone.
Simultaneously, a Russian strike on Mykolaiv destroyed one private house, causing a fire. Roofs were damaged on nine neighboring houses, and windows were blown out in twenty others. On the night of February 18, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with one 'Iskander-M' ballistic missile and 126 attack drones.
"The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, provided this update," he stated while commenting on the situation.
These events underscore the persistent threat to civilians in Ukraine and the critical need for defense against such attacks. The ongoing conflict continues to inflict severe hardship on civilian populations far from the front lines. The situation remains tense as Russian strikes cause harm not only to military targets but also to residential areas, generating deep concern within Ukrainian society and among international observers.
