A spy drone appeared over the EU research center in Italy
In March, a spy drone appeared over the European Union research center located at one of Italy's resorts, this happened at least five times.
The Italian prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into this incident, with the counter-terrorism department dealing with the matter.
It is unknown who exactly was operating the drone, but there are serious suspicions that it is of Russian manufacture. Such drones may be equipped with cameras and systems that create three-dimensional virtual maps.
Adjacent to the research center are facilities and training buildings belonging to Leonardo's arms factories, as well as a helicopter base. The entire area is protected by a zone where drone flights are prohibited.
Last year, Italian special services detained two Italians who, with the help of special cameras mounted on taxis, assisted Russian intelligence in creating detailed maps of vulnerable objects in Rome and Milan.
