Shelling Strikes Kherson's Korabelny District

According to Novyny.live: A Russian artillery attack hit the Korabelny district of Kherson, injuring a 43-year-old woman. The assault impacted four separate settlements within the Kherson community:

  • Kherson
  • Sadove
  • Antonivka
  • Prydniprovske

The shelling caused substantial damage, including to roofs and windows, and destroyed furniture and other property inside buildings. This attack is part of a sustained campaign of strikes against civilian areas in southern Ukraine.

The injured woman suffered blast trauma, shrapnel wounds, and burns. She was hospitalized and remains under medical supervision. According to official reports, she was the sole casualty within the Kherson community from these strikes. Beyond the human toll, the attacks damaged private homes, multi-story residential buildings, and a critical infrastructure facility.

Ongoing Tensions in the Region

This incident underscores the persistently dangerous situation in the region. Just days prior, a Russian strike on a civilian car in Kherson Oblast killed a nurse. The security environment remains tense, with local residents deeply concerned for their safety. These ongoing attacks on Kherson and surrounding areas highlight the intense military pressure Ukraine faces, particularly in its southern regions.

These events fuel anxiety among a civilian population enduring the conflict's severe consequences. While authorities and emergency services are taking measures to protect people, the persistent high risks continue to hinder any return to normal life in the area.
