According to Novyny.live: A Russian attack on a scheduled bus traveling from Burlyuk to Kharkiv on March 13 resulted in the death of its 53-year-old driver and injuries to three passengers. At the time of the strike, 15 people were aboard the vehicle. The assault occurred near the village of Nova Oleksandrivka in the Velykyi Burluk community, a rural area in eastern Ukraine.
One of the wounded is a 73-year-old local resident. This event was part of a broader wave of shelling across Ukraine overnight on March 13. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched 126 drones and one missile; impacts from a ballistic missile and eight attack drones were recorded at seven separate locations.
Additional Attacks and Consequences
Other strikes that same day included an attack on a library in Chernihiv Oblast and shelling of residential buildings in Balakliya, where three homes were partially damaged. These incidents highlight the ongoing danger in the region and the continued aggression by Russian troops.
This attack underscores the growing threat to civilians in Ukraine amid the protracted conflict. Targeting civilian transport and housing reflects an escalation of violence that endangers the safety and well-being of local residents. Such events have heightened international concern over the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the urgent need for measures to protect non-combatants.
