The verdict was announced on February 20, 2023, following a statement by Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, regarding the punishment handed down to the soldier. The convicted individual served in the 1st Company, 1st Battalion of the 40th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade, part of the Russian Pacific Fleet.
