Shooting of Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk Region: Reaction of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Office of the Prosecutor General has initiated a criminal case regarding the alleged shooting of nine Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
«The killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and an international crime. An investigation has been initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with deliberate murder», – stated Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.
Andriy Kostin emphasized that the Prosecutor General's Office is doing everything possible to identify and punish all those responsible for the crimes that Russia is committing against Ukraine.
Earlier, it became known that the occupiers once again violated the rules and customs of warfare by shooting nine Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, demands that the international community respond harshly to the killing of Ukrainian warriors by Russians. He stressed that such actions are a gross violation of international law.
