Embezzlement of money on road repair: official from Vinnytsia region put in custody.

A woman accused of embezzling state funds was arrested in Vinnytsia for 60 days. This was reported on the website of the Vinnytsia city court. She was given the opportunity to post a bail of 250,555 hryvnias.

According to the court, the client of the work was the department of housing and communal services, ecology, architecture, and urban planning of the village council. They concluded a contract with an individual entrepreneur regarding the capital repair of the road surface of a street in one of the settlements of the Vinnytsia region.

When the client accepted the work, the official drew up an act with incorrect data on the fact and volume of work performed, overstating them by 250,555.34 hryvnias. The case is under investigation by law enforcement agencies.

It is worth noting that in July of this year, a young man was accused of setting fire to an administrative building of the Vinnytsia regional TCC and SP at the behest of another person. He communicated with this person via the Telegram messenger.
