Shapovalov made his first statement in his new position.

The new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hennadiy Shapovalov, made his first address in office, emphasizing the importance of generating the military, particularly the processes of formation, training, and reinforcement of combat units and subdivisions.

Hennadiy Shapovalov: 'The future of Ukraine depends on what is happening now at the front. Therefore, all our efforts must be directed at the main thing — preserving the very fact of our state's existence.'

He also expressed the fundamental importance for himself in the development of all military components, from infantry to artillery, tank units, and army aviation, emphasizing the need to provide modern technologies and armaments.

Shapovalov expressed his readiness for open dialogue and constructive criticism, stressing the need to strengthen the army, which is currently holding the country's defense line. He assumed the position after the resignation of the previous commander, Mykhailo Drapaty.

In his first address as the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hennadiy Shapovalov outlined important principles that he would direct his activities towards. He also noted the necessity of uniting efforts and maximum concentration on developing and strengthening Ukraine's military potential.
