Ukrainian Security Service Strikes Russian Plant Producing Missile Fuel.
Strategic Target in Tver Region Hit
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian defense forces have successfully struck a strategic facility within Russia's Tver region. The target was a research plant in the settlement of Redkino, which manufactured a critical fuel component for cruise missiles. Specifically, the plant produced 'Decilin-M', a substance essential for powering Russia's Kh-55 and Kh-101 missiles. This operation is part of Ukraine's broader campaign to degrade Russia's military-industrial capacity deep behind the front lines.
The attack on the plant was carried out by the 'Alpha' special operations center of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU). In addition to 'Decilin-M', the facility also produced fuel additives for diesel and aviation kerosene. Following the drone strike, a major fire broke out at the plant, with the FIRMS satellite monitoring service confirming active burning across the enterprise's territory.
Ukraine's Strategic Objectives
This strike underscores Ukraine's strategic military objectives, which are increasingly focused on dismantling the production infrastructure that sustains Russia's war effort. The choice of target demonstrates an attempt to systematically reduce the adversary's ability to manufacture advanced weaponry, a factor that could influence the broader trajectory of the conflict. Such long-range strikes represent a significant evolution in Ukraine's defensive strategy.
It is also important to note that these actions may have wider implications for regional security and stability.
