The Spanish police are checking migrant centers on the islands in search of individuals who allegedly committed violence against their companions while the boat was drifting in the Atlantic Ocean.

Today, authorities reported the arrest of 'several individuals' who will stand trial.

Some passengers, according to reports, were killed after accusations of witchcraft, others died from dehydration or jumped overboard in a state of mental exhaustion.

The police have not yet confirmed the final number of victims.

They are interrogating the suspects to determine what happened during this dreadful journey.

The tragedy began when the boat departed from Western Sahara to the Canary Islands.

Preliminary data indicate that there were 320 people on board, but Spanish coast guards managed to rescue 250 of them.

It is believed that the boat's engine broke down shortly after the journey began, leaving migrants under the scorching sun with limited supplies of water.

There are reports that some passengers were initially accused of stealing water supplies.

As time passed, the accusations became more serious, eventually leading to accusations of witchcraft.

Although some passengers died of natural causes, up to 30 young men are suspected of conspiracy and murder of certain companions.

The boat was discovered in disarray by one of the trading vessels on Sunday, August 24.

Morocco, which shares responsibility for the waters with Spain, stated that it does not have the resources to address this situation.

Spanish coast guards rescued about 250 people from the damaged boat off the western coast of Dakhla, 265 miles from the Canary Islands, and brought them to the islands on August 25.

The survivors told rescuers upon arriving at the port of Arguineguin that they had spent about 11 days at sea.

They confirmed to the police that dozens had died from lack of water, but that some were intentionally killed.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the police are looking for 20-30 migrants in connection with the unintentional deaths on the boat.

If convicted, these men could face life imprisonment.

The transformation of the archipelago from Africa is due to the fact that boats must cross the 'Western route', which is famous for its dangers for migrants.
