The migrant decided to use this unusual method to get from Morocco to Ceuta – a Spanish enclave in North Africa.
At the landing site, police found only abandoned multicolored paragliding equipment.
This is likely the first attempt to use a paraglider to cross this border.
The video showed the migrant flying over Mount Jebel Musa in Morocco before landing in the Sidi Ibrahim area of Ceuta.
This area is popular among tourists and bikers.
The investigation is ongoing
An investigation is currently underway to find the man.
This morning it was not known whether he was Moroccan or from sub-Saharan Africa.
Local media reported that the man is about twenty years old, and there is speculation that he planned the crossing during the regular movement times of migrants from Ceuta to Spanish territory.
“We don't think many others will try to do this. It's expensive, risky, and requires experience,” said an informed police source.
Ceuta, one of the two Spanish enclaves in North Africa, has experience dealing with migrants attempting to overcome fortified walls at the border with Morocco.
Others have attempted to reach Spanish territory by jumping into the sea.

The Civil Guard was aware of the possibility that migrants might attempt to fly over the border this summer.
Groups from sub-Saharan Africa who reached Morocco published videos on TikTok demonstrating paragliding equipment.
One local newspaper even published instructions on how to do it, pointing out “less guarded” routes.
In May, a police officer was injured while trying to prevent migrants from sneaking into Ceuta through two parallel fences.
Both fences are approximately 32 feet tall and topped with razor wire.
The security system also includes electronic sensors and powerful lights designed to complicate crossings.
In August, the Spanish Ministry of the Interior reported that from January 1 to July 31, 1,452 undocumented migrants entered Ceuta by land.
This is a 7% increase compared to the previous year.
Besides climbing over the border fence, they were also smuggled into the enclave by cars.
