Sybiha and the Foreign Ministers of six EU countries adopted the Berlin Declaration.
The heads of foreign affairs ministries from several countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, and Ukraine, together with the High Representative of the EU, signed the Berlin Declaration.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, this document confirms the strong solidarity and support for Ukraine from its partners in the context of Russian aggression.
The declaration states that the main goal is Ukraine's victory, and peace negotiations cannot take place without Ukraine's involvement and Europe’s support.
The document also reaffirms support for the Peace Formula as a path to achieving sustainable peace.
'The Berlin Declaration emphasizes the support of Ukraine's partners on its path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including membership in NATO and the EU,' the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes.
The ministers also confirmed their readiness to increase assistance to Ukraine in the areas of military, economic, and financial support, including the allocation of additional funds from the EU. They also committed to quickly implementing the G7’s decision to provide Ukraine with a loan of 50 billion USD to address urgent needs, particularly military ones.
The declaration also reaffirms Ukraine's right to self-defense against Russian aggression and condemns Russia's actions that lead to the escalation of the conflict, including attacks on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure, as well as the deployment of North Korean troops and the use of intermediate-range missiles against Ukraine.
The declaration calls for continued restrictions on Russian military capabilities and pressure on Kremlin revenue sources, including energy, as well as providing strong security guarantees and financial support to Ukraine.
The ministers also promise to cooperate with European and transatlantic partners on security issues, relying on the principles of the UN Charter and the OSCE.
Moreover, the ministers confirm their readiness to assist in the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine, and announce that in 2025, an International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine will take place in Italy.
